Since 1970, people across the country and around the world have celebrated Earth Day on April 22. The fight for a clean environment continues in a climate of increasing urgency, as the throw-away nature of our society becomes more and more prevalent.  It is our hope that the Jewett community will begin to embrace a way of life that is built around reducing, reusing and recycling.
