Leon County Art Trail

The 2020 Leon County Art Trail is sponsored by the Jewett Economic Development Corporation. (not a website any longer to no link please) This year there are 26 pieces os sculpture placed in front of businesses and in Eagle Scout Park along Main Street (Hwy. 79) through Jewett. Nationally known sculptors vie for the opportunity to display their art and compete in the Leon County Art Trail annually. Pieces in the 2020 Leon County Art Trail are all available for sale and range in price from $2,000 to $25,000. Now in its tenth year, the Leon County Art Trail continues to grow and gain widespread attention in the art world. Largely due to the Leon County Art Trail, the City of Jewett is designated at the Sculpture Capital of Texas. The Jewett Economic Development Corporation is currently accepting application for sculptures for the 2021 Leon County Art Trail. Applicants will need to fill out both the Artist Information and the Leon County Art Trail Forms and return them to the JEDC. Artists will be awarded $500 each for sculptures chosen for the 2021 Leon County Art Trail.
