The Leon Junior High Student Council helped out during the recent Flea Festival, manning all the children’s games. JACC 1st Vice President presented the Student Council with a $400 donation as thanks for all their hard work.
The Jewett Area Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed new salon Rockashears to town. Owner Melinda Anderson is excited about providing a full service salon to the Jewett community.
Gilbert Garcia, manager of Brookshire Brother’s Express, was chosen as the 2013 Citizen of the Year. JACC President Chad Prior presented him with a plaque commemorating this honor.
